Tribute to Steve Irwin, a guy who genuinely loved nature and animals.
This man was beyond real
"Crocodiles are easy. They try to kill and eat you. People are harder. Sometimes they pretend to be your friend first."
- Steve Irwin (r.i.p.)
I met a girl Thursday night, she had the face of an angel, so there i was sitting outside on the hood of a car, scrolling through my phone. When out of nowhere, this gorgeous beauty appears, she asks me for my name, and as i move my eyes from my screen to her, i instantly lose myself in her eyes. One minute I’m reading some article on the internet and the next there’s a beautiful girl smiling at me. &for the first time in a long time, i actually felt nervous. Not because she was beautiful, or had an amazing smile, not because her voice made me melt. I guess it was her confidence, there was just something about the way she spoke. I froze after her question, and i just kept staring at her, and she asked me why i was looking at her like that.
“ Im sorry, i can’t help myself, you’re just so beautiful” i say,
“ stop, you’re going to make me blush” she replies.
“ you are blushing, and may i just say it makes you look even more gorgeous”
“ you did not just say that”
‘what? its the truth. “
i finally told her my name, and she told me hers. Mary Anne.
We ended up talking for hours, I don’t remember the last time i ever connected with someone like that. We literally flirted the whole time, our shoulders brushed when we started to exchange favorite songs, & i don’t care how cliche the whole thing seemed, It was probably one of the best nights I’ve had. Once it got late, she took my phone, wrote down her number, and as she leaves she says
“Call me Saturday morning, so i can tell you what time you have to pick me up”
"what do you mean pick you up? are we going on a date?"
“yes you idiot, i know you find me irresistible. you’re not so bad yourself, and i want you to take me out on a date. okay?”
“ haha, okay, i look forward to Saturday Marry Anne”
so i called her today, she picks up, and tells me to pick her up at 8pm, to bring 3 of my favorite movies, a dozen donuts, cookies, chips and a blanket and all these other things, that i have to go shop for later today.
So now here i am, i don’t know why I’m telling you guys any of this, but it hasn’t been long since Mary Anne came into my life, and i still don’t know where any of this is heading, but at this point nothing else seems to matter to me, i just want to spend more time with this girl. She’s so funny, and sarcastic, and sincere, and her giggles are so adorable, i think this is the start of something, i don’t know what it is yet, but its the start. i know its to early to tell. But this girl makes me feel alive again.

okay seriously if you’re in a relationship or even a friendship and you find yourself spending more time crying out of sadness or arguing with them, leave them. i don’t care if they’re a modern day aphrodite/adonis or a gift bestowed upon you by the gods. toxic people are dangerous and i highly advise cutting them out of your life and finding someone who makes you laugh until you snort your drink out your nose instead.
